It enables us to collect sales information including revnue, discount, return and cogs by product group. Also good design of product hierarchy will make it happen to see so detailed product profitability because of product hierarcy having four levels.

Be careful… This data realize through two ways.

1, Product hierarchy information in Material Master Data is passed to sales information by product through Sales Order.

2, Product hierarchy information is passed to sales infomation by product through manual accounting journal.

So far 1st way was only assumed.

Going forward, 2nd way will be explained. At the same time I will comment allocation which will be a small part of account journal.
